I constantly find myself boasting about how wonderful our clients are... without a doubt some of the most delightful, interesting and amusing people I have ever met.  It’s a funny thing when you call or stop by to provide a personal update and end up having the best conversation you’ve had in a while over a cup of coffee and are sent back to the office with pounds fresh venison - what can I say... I love my job!

That said, I wanted to share with you some of the great people that I have the pleasure of working for; starting with Robert and Martie Kluting.  Mark was a custom home and lodge builder with brother Steve for nine years-Guadalupe Builders, Inc.  One of their favorite projects was building and owning the Billy Gene's Restaurant property in a partnership called Arrowpoint Properties, LLC. which we sold to Billy and Janie in 2008 as planned.  Martie is very involved with her sewing hobby, church choir and our four grandchildren in San Antonio.

Mark is also the two year, 2008 & 2009 president of the Hill Country Auto Club.  Below are some pictures of a few of his beauties - my favorite is the elegant 1933 Chevy Master Delux.  I have to say Robert puts just as much precision and attention to detail into his custom homes as he does his cars - it’s truly awesome to see such perfection.  Not only does his club draw in a crowd wherever they go but they also raise scholarship funds for local high school college bound graduating seniors - very cool!  To learn more about the Hill Country Auto Club or when their next show is visit:  www.  http://www.hillcountryautomobileclub.com.

Besides car clubbing, Robert is on the board of directors of the Hill Country University Center in Fredericksburg benefitting all of the Hill Country.  Go to www.hcucenter.org and see a drawing of the first building on the new campus that is classrooms, labs and  administrative offices.  It and a chapel will open in spring of 2010.  They are accepting donations towards furnishings for this building and for Phase II.

1933 Chevrolet Master Deluxe w/63,000 actual miles, full restoration finished in 1996 using father's '33 as a parts car.  Used in our daughters, Steve's daughter's and another wedding.

1940 Pontiac Silver Streak convertable, 2nd owner for last 44 years, hot rodded three times, currently has corvette style drivetrain and needs full cosmetic restoration, but drivable as a rat rod now.

1970 Olds 442 W-30 convertable w/68,000 actual miles, certified factory race car fully original and partially restored to full drivable status.  Martie and I had a hardtop version of this car back then and fortunately found this "garage find" in Fredericksburg through a friend five years ago.
