Located on a loop off Texas 39 and Texas 27, Ingram is a trade center for surrounding camps, vacation and retirement homes. Old Ingram Business buildings of the old section of Ingram now house art studios and galleries, antique shops, boutiques and restaurants. 

The city of Ingram is located between Kerrville and Hunt on the banks of the Guadalupe River. Ingram Lake Dam is west of the city, a popular summer destination for swimming, fishing, and boating. Old Ingram Loop is a great place to shop with an assortment of artisans and businesses. Just across Johnson Creek bridge is the Hill Country Arts Foundation, a visual and performing arts facility. Founded in 1959, it provides a cultural atmosphere for neighbors Kerrville, Hunt, and the entire Texas Hill Country.
